This model is made entirely from European tonewood. Suppliers grade European wood by visual quality of the grain into three tiers — 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star — each aged for a different length of time: 1-star for 2–3 years, 2-star for 3–5 years, and 3-star for 5–8 years.

From the Workshop
Founded in 1991 by master luthier Ming Jiang Zhu, our Guangzhou workshop has earned 27 awards from the Violin Society of America. Today, the workshop is led by Wei-xian Zhu — carrying forward his master's standards across every instrument we make.
